Nature Communications | Electrosynthesis of Ethylene Glycol from C1 in a Flow Electrolyzer
Recently, our research team published a research paper entitled "Electrosynthesis of ethylene glycol from C1 feedstocks in a flow electrolyzer" in Nature Communications. The first author of the paper is Rong Xia, a PhD student of 2017, and the corresponding authors are Prof. Xinbin Ma, Feng Jiao and Yuanyue Liu. A technique for producing ethylene glycol from methanol is reported in the paper. C-C coupling may occur between two CH2OH, and the desorption of CH2OH plays an important role in the formation of ethylene glycol and is a key step in determining the selectivity of ethylene glycol.
